In 1939, Leopold Oldani settled in an Italian neighborhood in St. Louis known as “The Hill”. Dissatisfied with the taste and quality of the local fare, Leopold started making salame the way he did back in Italy. In 1946 he founded Oldani Brothers Sausage Company with his brothers George and Joseph.
